Haircut issues

I just got my hair cut. And HATE it!! My hair grows pretty fast, but my hair is at the length where you can do practically nothing with it (it's just above my shoulders). I have really thick hair, and it does not look that great. Plus, it was originally half-way down my back. Ugh!! Help!!

  • I have had short hair for a while and now I'm kind of sick of it. But lately I've been wearing beanies, headbands, and headwraps. Especially with thick hair, it's really easy to rock! (Btw i also have rly think hair)
  • Hm....i Can help with styles and tips, but with the length its up to time and growtth..
For styles, you can try Hair wraps. I also have VERY thick hair, and i liked the bright colors.
You can also try small braids with some of your hair still loose under it.
You can also Style it with Hair Gel.
Sorry if my comment is too late and hopefully your now satisfied with your hair,
but these are some of my weird hair length style tips.
  • I used to have the same problem with my hair. Until your hair grows out try putting it in two braids.

It may not be what you wanted it to look like, but hair does grow, and it won't look this way forever. Experiment with different styles for your new cut. Do french braids look good? How about ponytails? You could braid a small section of hair by the front of your face and leave it loose, or pin it back with a clip or bobby pin. Or the same section of hair and twist it back from your face, clipping it in back. Try a half-up-half-down, as Annabelle said, or try headbands or clips like Molly. There are tons of amazing ideas out there, so get creative!
  • My hair is that length. Usually I get someone to put it in a high ponytail, but when that doesn't work, I use a headband, hair clips, or I tie the front strands of my hair behind my head. I hope this helps!
  • I used to have that length hair until I cut it even shorter. Here are some styles to try:
    Half up half down
do a small braid with a strand of hair in the front and pin it back
    pin the sides back
    wear a hat
french braid the top strands and do a half up half down

Don't worry! Just do whatever you can to make the best out of it, and get creative with styling.
  • Okay, try not to worry. It is not as bad as it may seem. So, if you like the style, I recommend putting it in a big clip at the back, because it looks good, and it's out of your eyes! I hope this helps!
  • Put it in pigtails. That's what I did when my hair was that length two years ago.

Earning Money

I'd really like to earn some money, but I'm not sure how. I'm too young to babysit, and I can't do the common jobs like "selling lemonade" and stuff like that. How should I earn some money? - Anonymous   Hi!   There are a number of ways that kids can earn money, but without knowing your exact circumstances, it’s hard for me to be sure of what methods might work for you and what wouldn’t. And of course, you should make sure to have your parent’s approval for any type of money-making enterprise…

Do any of you have journals or diaries? I do. I first started keeping a diary when I was around five. Now, I have several diaries dating back to my tenth birthday, a few old dream journals, and several hundred notes on my phone (most being my private thoughts, same as my diaries). I love being able to look back through my old diaries and see what I was thinking about six months ago, a year ago, two years ago, four years ago . . . Some thoughts and ideas on journaling: -When my current diary has…

Are your brothers gross too? - Ruby   Hi, Ruby! I only have one brother, but I’m lucky—he’s usually not too gross. :) I do also have three sisters, however, and between my total four siblings, I can definitely sympathize with being frustrated by siblings, at least on a more generic level. I’m not sure if you’re asking for specific advice, but as it happens, I actually wrote a blog post several months ago all about having siblings! If you’d like to give that a read, you can find it by clicking…

Friends and Mature Topics

My friends are talking about really mature topics lately, and I still don't like to talk about that, even though I'm the same age as them. My friends are usually great, but now they're making me feel slightly uncomfortable and out of place. What should I do? - Anonymous First of all, know that you’re definitely not the only person who’s not always entirely uncomfortable with very “mature” topics! Notwithstanding your age, different people have different comfort levels on different things. Not…
